THE BLURB

Amanda Bentley has always dreamed of being a barrister… But as a platinum blonde bombshell from the wrong side of town, with a perfect tan and sleek high heels, she doesn’t exactly look the part – or fit in with the brash public school boys and cold posh girls of Newcastle Crown Court’s robing room.

The Collective by R.S. Williams Review

Afternoon all, sorry todays post is a couple of hours late, I've been away the past couple of days and working overtime in work. Today I have for you a review of The Collective by R.S. Williams as part of Jenny's book tour.

The Collective by R.S. Williams

BLURB
Matilda Gregson never knew a world outside hers existed, that is until Harvey comes along and shows her something beyond her imagination.

All that is on Tilly’s mind is finishing her dissertation, getting her degree, and spending time with her friends before the end of the school year. But everything changes when she meets Jenny, an agent of a secret society, and nothing prepared either of them for the adventure they are about to endure.

Under the pressures of surviving, their friendship grows and they find friends in the most unlikely of places, and betrayal just around the corner. Will they both be able to stop him before he tears Jenny’s society to the ground?

REVIEW
Matilda (who you will come to know as Tilly) is a student with an interest in pirates, while researching pirates for her dissertation she meets Jenny who brings a whole new world to Tilly. I love that Rhianne chose pirates as you rarely see them in books these days, I am a bit of a sucker for a pirate.

I actually like that Harvey came along and took Tilly on an adventure whether it be good or bad, I do like a bit of mischief and action. I find time travel a little harder to read than your usual sci-fi but Rhianne has written this book beautifully.

I found this book a little slow in parts (as you know I like a book to keep me griped from start to end) but still a very enjoyable read none the less. Praise to Rhianne for creating this seamless new world for us all to delve into, I'm glad I stuck at it and pushed through the slower pages, I'd recommend this to anyone who loves adventure and a little bit of the dark side.

Blurb: Twenty-eight-year-old Nina lives a quiet, unassuming life, happy (ish) with her job, maybe not quite as happy with her non-existent love-life (but who has everything) and content to trundle along with her nice, predictable daily routine. That is, until her octogenarian grandmother talks Nina into accompanying her on holiday.

Luckily, handsome neighbour Aaron Spenser offers to share his new cottage with Kiki until she’s back on her feet. And as the wedding draws closer, Kiki realises that Butterfly Cove may be offering her little family more than just a new home…

Maybe this is where her new life begins…?

Review

Firstly, can we just stop for a moment and look how cute the book cover is. To me its a real summer book cover and if I saw this on the shelf I would immediately pick it up to read what the book was about.

I have to say the first chapter, I didn't really know what to make of things, I was expecting this light hearted summer read but I was thrown by the intensity of the first chapter but it soon turned to that light hearted romance I was expecting with some self healing and courage thrown in for good measure.

Kiki starts out as a bit of a lost character but soon finds her feet and decides to make a change for the better, with new adventures and new loves. Sarah has written a fantastic story and I loved being along for the ride, it is yet again another perfect summer read, once you pick it up you just won't be able to put it down. Kudo's to Sarah as this is the second book in the series and I fell in love with the book despite not having read the first book, It's great as a stand alone book but I am super excited to read the first in the series.

I would highly recommend anyone who loves a feel good book to pick up a copy of this and lost yourself in Butterfly Cove.
